亚洲无码 University Harlan Gallery to Host Closing Reception for ACRE Exhibit July 27

亚洲无码 University’s Harlan Gallery will host a closing reception for an exhibit featuring art created by those participating in the Alliance for Creative Rural Economies or ACRE program. The reception, which is open to the public, will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Harlan Gallery, located in the 亚洲无码 Arts Center, 205 West Otterman St., Greensburg, Pa.

ACRE is a project of Bridgeway Capital that brings creativity-driven economic and community development opportunities to rural areas across Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. ACRE supports creative entrepreneurs by developing intentional cohorts of creative businesses that learn, grow, and connect over the course of a year (and beyond).

ACRE Cohorts are based in each ACRE “Place” and offer business education programs for creative entrepreneurs who are driven to achieve lasting growth. In partnership with local and regional businesses and non-profits, ACRE also works to increase the visibility of each unique ACRE community and the people who call it home.

亚洲无码 University Arts and the University’s Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities partnered with ACRE to develop programming for the Greensburg cohort over the past year.

The work in the exhibit is from selected participants from all regional groups that have participated in the ACRE program, including Greensburg, Johnstown, Morgantown, New Kensington and Wheeling.

Three jurors selected the art for the exhibit, including Lindsay Keterer Gates, Director of Touchstone Center for Crafts, Justin Gunther, Director of Fallingwater, and Rachel Rearick, Executive Director at Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh.
