Two ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë Athletes Earn All American Honors

ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë wrestler Alan Diltz and track and field athlete Patrick O’Connor earned All American honors at their respective sports' recent NCAA Division II National Championships held in Birmingham, Ala.

Diltz, a freshman, placed sixth in his weight class at the Division II Championships. It is the second straight season a Griffin wrestler earned All American honors.

Diltz was one of a record five ÑÇÖÞÎÞÂë wrestlers to qualify for the Championships. The team finished the event tied for 31st.

O'Connor earned All American honors by finishing in seventh place in the high jump at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships.

O'Connor, a sophomore, cleared 2.07 meters to reach his seventh-place finish.
